California Vocal Arts Ensemble - On Tour

The SLO Vocal Arts Ensemble, also known as the California Vocal Arts Ensemble when touring, travels approximately every three years to perform at international choral festivals and competitions, plus organized concert tours, around the world. The choir has won many awards at these competitions and have delighted audiences from Argentina to Russia.

This group of 30-40 men and women, hailing from San Luis Obispo, California, sing in several languages and memorize their music, which embodies their slogan "Singing from the Heart since 1977". Gary Lamprecht, the Musical Director and Founder of Vocal Arts, was the recipient of the prestigious Dr. Howard S. Swan Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and was a two-time teacher of the year when he was working as a high school choir teacher.

In over 40 years, the California Vocal Arts Ensemble have traveled to 16 countries, competed in over a half dozen international competitions and has several first and second place awards in these competitions.
